Well, I finally decided to do my own blog. I plan to post my favorite YT videos, quote, rants and raves and just see where the Lord would have me go with this. There's a lot going on with my husband and myself right now so there should be some regular activity here.

Let's talk about 'Tulip' a little bit. The new ages Calvinist throw buzzwords around like 'hyper-Calvinism'. Of course, they are against this, or so they say. Yet they will tell you they are a five point Calvinist (Tulip). I say five point Calvinism is hyper-Calvinism. Let us look into it a little deeper. Tulip is an acronym for:
Total Inability – Calvinist have tried to steel the doctrine of Total Depravity as of late. The Bible does teach total depravity, that is, that all men are lost, incapable of saving themselves and will not come to God on their own without the drawing power of the Holy Spirit enabling them to come. However, this is not to be confused with total inability, that is, that no one is even able to come to Christ unless they are one of the elect (one who is chosen before the foundation of the world). Two different doctrines, one true, the other a heresy. Calvinist will use scripture like John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. They say that this verse proves that God only chooses some to come to Him. But Jesus, in the next verse plainly tells us how God draws men to Him. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
It plainly says that EVERY man that hears Him (Jesus, the living Word) has the ability to come to Him.
John 12:32 says And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. That is ALL men, not just the elect. And if He be able to draw ALL men unto Him, yet not ALL men will come to Him, then man was be able to reject or obey that call.
Unconditional Election – The Calvinist would have us believe that God predestinates before we are even born, that some will go to heaven and others to hell.
I Timothy 2:3-4: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Now, if it is God’s will that all men be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth, then why would God before we are born determine that some would not be saved and go to hell? Does this not create a contradiction in scripture? Quote this verse to a Calvinist and watch him squirm. He will come up with things like “well, there are two wills of God”. Show me in scripture where it says there are two wills of God. The English word ‘will’ has different meanings:

• modal verb (3rd sing. present will; past would) 1 expressing the future tense. 2 expressing a strong intention or assertion about the future. 3 expressing inevitable events. 4 expressing a request. 5 expressing desire, consent, or willingness. 6 expressing facts about ability or capacity. 7 expressing habitual behaviour. 8 expressing probability or expectation about something in the present.
Obviously, since we know that not all men will be saved, then the word ‘will’ here in this verse is not talking about God’s sovereign will, but God’s desire. If it is God’s desire that all men be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth, then why would create some men to go to hell? Calvinist would have us believe that God is confused or can’t make up His mind. No, since we know from this verse what God’s desire is, and we know that not all men will be saved, then doesn’t common sense ( a God given ability, remember when God said “come let us REASON together Isaiah 1:18) tell us that it must be because of MAN that they will not all be saved. Doesn’t it tell us that man has the ability to choose?
Limited Atonement – Calvinist tell us that Jesus died only for the elect (I believe in the elect, but not in the sense that Calvinist do). This is totally unscriptural. Hebrews 2:9 says: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. He died for EVERY man, not just a few. There are other verses, but this one is about as plain as it gets.
Irresistible Grace – Calvinist would have us believe that those (meaning their version of what the elect is) who are called will be saved and cannot resist. This is why they are so against alter calls. In other words, the elect will be saved anyway, and the non-elect have no choice in the matter, so why bother. Matthew 23:37: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Seems to me that the CHOSEN, that is elect, people of God resisted Him. John 6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Again the desire of God is that EVERY ONE that sees the Son and BELIEVES in Him will have everlasting life. The only trouble is John 6:36 says: But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
Again, if it is God’s will that every one who sees Jesus and believes shall have everlasting life, yet this verse plainly says that they did see Him and yet did not believe, then there must be something man refuses to do. What is it? Believe. In other words, just like an atheist, they choose not to.
Perseverance of the Saints – What does perseverance mean? Continue in a course of action in spite of difficulty or lack of success. The Calvinist will tell us on one hand that we are saved by Grace and not of ourselves (which is true) and then tell us that we must persevere until the end. Something we have to do. Or maybe a better way to put, we persevere because we have been saved. I say this is wrong and not scriptural. We are saved because of what Jesus did and we are secure in that until the end. Psalms 37:28: For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
We will be PRESERVED FOREVER. We are saved because of what Jesus did, not because of what we do from now on. Hebrews 10:14: For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
The Bible makes it pretty plain that a lot of Christians will falter. That is backslide morally and so forth. Not lose their faith, but stray from walking with the Lord. They will be chastised accordingly, but not judged with the world. I Corinthians 11:32.
The thing about five point Calvinism is that each point is reliant upon the other. If one can be torn down, then it all comes tumbling down like a deck of cards. I hope this has helped someone out there who is reading this decide what they want to believe. Human reasoning (Calvinism) or the Bible.
